Sierra Ferrell
One of the brightest young luminaries in roots music today, Ferrell brings a dose of beautifully strange magic to everything she touches. Since the arrival of Long Time Coming (her acclaimed debut LP for Rounder Records), the West Virginia-born singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist has earned the Emerging Act of the Year prize at the Americana Honors & Awards, collaborated with the likes of Margo Price, the Black Keys, Shakey Graves, Zach Bryan, Diplo, and Old Crow Medicine Show, and enchanted audiences all over North America and Europe with her high-spirited and dazzling live performance. On her new album Trail Of Flowers, the Nashville-based artist expands her sound while deepening the urgency of her songs, often revealing a wealth of wisdom within her wildly imaginative storytelling.
Jason Dea West & The Siskiyou Crest
Jason Dea West and the Siskiyou Crest, consisting of Jason Dea West on vocals and guitar, Amie Astelle on standup bass, and Mason Alexander on fiddle, are a recently formed folk western trio soon to release their debut record 8 Miles From Rusk. Within the six months they have been a band, they have already recorded a full length record within 9 hours at Anti Corp Records in Nashville, TN, appeared on stages all over the nation, and have already started the process of a EP being recorded in April while on tour at Roadrunner Recording Studio in Bisbee, AZ.
The band is embarking on their album release tour starting in New Mexico at the beginning of spring of this year. Their tour will be taking them from the West Coast where they are set to play many legendary venues like Goldfields in Sacramento, Cyprus in Reno, NV, and Tractor Tavern in Seattle, WA. Continuing on later this summer to perform at Muddy Roots Music Festival in Cookeville, TN and Pickin’ in the Backwoods in Nashville, IN.
8 Miles From Rusk is out April 25 on all streaming platforms and available for purchase.
